Hence why I left the list incomplete, because I didn't know what else to address. This would be a problem if it was happening in a productive Sub-forum(Like General or collab), but I think but I think Off-Topic kind of does imply that it is for screwing around and overall activities not productive to the game. I see your point with this thread, however I don't think doing anything to the Off-Topic subforum would really do much. The reason for this being that if you make people stop screwing around that doesn't mean that they will go to back to work. This the Internet, not a sweatshop, there isn't any way to force people to do it (like a whip). You might end up getting some people into those subforums, but without Off-topic, I'm pretty sure certain amount of the people here have no reason to be here(Although considering who most of those people are, that might not be a bad thing if they left). This is exactly what Lotimis didn't want, I'm pretty sure a would call this situation a "Lack of heart in the community". I'm pretty sure that this is just a cycle, and soon those subforums will have at least a decent amount of productivity.

Nobody posting in Collab/General Disscussion is better then it being spammed by trolls.

I agree with some of your points, in fact, I agree with most of it. But as I said, the off-topic forum shouldn't be the most visited as it is now. Compare the amount of posts and topics in Off-Topic to everything else. This Subforum is literally taking over the forum and making it a forum about fucking around rather than one about Containment Breach. And I'm hoping that the other subforums, as you said would have more productivity than currently, because the current state of productivity in General Discussion and Collab isn't exactly the best.

Ahem, when did I say that these should be followed? These are suggestions, hence the "fine print" in the first post by me. And I wasn't saying anything against the RP Thread. Read the suggestions again. And, no offense, but wouldn't the 914 game be more "fitting" in the Foundation discussion? It does relate to the SCP Universe. Where the RP Thread DOES relate to it, it's good at Off-Topic. I simply put this here as suggestions as I said once before. I'm not trying to start an argument, but the way you came off with the first sentence was a bit rude and could've been touched up on, though I really don't care how people talk to me, just for future reference, please try and be a bit more erm, kind(that's an okay word for now) in the introduction. Though I do agree that I shouldn't be given any right to post rules, I was just asking for people to consider that this is a forum about SCP: Containment Breach and not a forum for "LOLZ OFF-TOPIC PAOST DUR AN NAWT COLABBURAET HEUHUEHUEHUEHUEHEKRMFV" if you know what I mean.

Now, I wasn't implying that you said anything against the RP thread, I was just listing it as an example. The same way I listed threads that make no sense to have. What should be posted in the off-topic are things that have a relation to SCP:CB such as SCP, games, horror stuff, just things that have a connection with the main topic that the forums are dedicated for. I am once again bringing the MLP thread as an example. Yes, I know, you guys like MLP, great awesome perfect. We don't care. Seriously, if you want to talk about MLP you are free to do so, but why make a thread (and there have been LOTS of them in the past) on a horror game forum when you can talk about it in other places? We are not the MSPA forums with 4000 user at a time. We are a small community meaning that the amount of stuff that can be discussed is smaller than in larger ones. For example, I am a huge fanboy of the game Metro: 2033, and there are some people here that also like it, but you don't see me making threads about it. I just discuss it in other places. I am talking about other things rather than MLP, it was just an example.

I also agree fully about the stupid threads. I mean, why the hell do we need a thread to bitch about the new youtube comment section? I mean, who gives a shit really. Threads like that are a waste of time since they die after two days because they are pointless. I for example have made less than five threads in total through my times in the forums. Why? Because I know that it is pointless to make threads just to ramble about certain things that have no business being here.

I also want to point out that the Foundation Discussion forum was previously part of the Off-topic forums, but got moved away because other threads were drowning said discussions. See the problem here?

Thanks for clearing that up, and I'm glad you posted that, else I wouldn't have known I was being sort of a douche in my primary post. I agree with pretty much all the points you make here, and I think that Off-Topic shouldn't be so Off-Topic that it hurts, as you said. And I actually had no idea that the Foundation Discussion was part of Off-Topic, mostly because I've only been lurking the forums for so long. I'm hoping that people will understand both of our points.(I really didn't put much in my primary post, so mostly yours.)

Another related issue I would like to bring is the amount of pointless posts made by many people. Yes I know, the point of a forum is to post and discuss stuff, but making posts like "I wish I could help", "I don't know how to help you", or just things that make the conversation be in the exact same position as it was before. If you are writing a post ask yourself, "Self, will this post contribute to the discussion in any way, or will it just be a complete waste of time?" or "Self, does this post convey the exact same thing that was said five times before by other people without adding anything new?". Those are the things that you should think about before posting. Yes, I know making your post count rise is cool, I've been there before and I've made every attempt to change to better, and yes it feels cool that you are collaborating. Except you aren't you are just writing the same stuff others did. If you can't help in the problem or give a solution, don't bother posting. Not posting is already a way of saying that you don't know.

I for example (yes, I know it sounds narcissistic talking about myself this way, but hey, I know myself better than I know others) I don't post almost anything in the following forums: Bugs, 087-B and mods. Why? Because I know I won't be adding anything of use. I don't find many bugs. I don't know how to fix bugs. I don't play 087-B that much. I don't have any interest in mods. This is why I don't post there, because I am of no help at all. Me posting there just for the sake of posting would just be plain stupid and pointless. Just don't post if you don't have anything to add.

Aside from pointless threads, we also need to stop with pointless posts.

Another thing that has to stop is threads rotating in the same direction, someone says that this should happen, someone says it should be replaced with this to improve this, then someone says this and this could improve this, and then blahblahblahblah, it then repeats itself over a hundred time until the thread's locked.
