What's up with ponies and socks? It's a bit creepy, and now it's canon since rarity was wearing them with her dress in one of the s3 episodes.


Speculation time. I think the pony's planet is in orbit around it's sun but can't rotate on it's own, so unicorns had to rotate the planet and make the moon orbit. The window of planets in the princesses castle confirms that the planets are round. What are your ideas on what the pony's world is like?

Wouldn't moving the sun incinerate other planets or knock them out of orbit, and mess with the magnetic field? Unless the planet is the only one orbiting their sun, I think moving the sun is very inefficient.

Since Luna is capable of changing the night sky( the position of stars and planets, basically), it's pretty obvious that they arleady pulled the other planets far from the possibles paths of the sun, while using their magnetic forces to counteract the Sun's

All Celestia does is spin the planet, Discord probably screwed up its natural spin
This is based on assuming their solar system is like ours, in which case moving their sun would require a tremendous amount of energy, and probably screw up their planets orbit in moving it around..

It's not so much the socks, it was more the sexy pose and the Big Macintosh...

Celestia just rotates the sun to induce a gravitational field... Or something

Cartoon logic. When Luna moves the stars she's probably messing up countless other alien solar systems and destroying countless civilizations. Celestia either spins the planet or literally moves the sun, which may incinerate other planets happening to be in it's way.

Ponies doesn't need an explanation.
