Hello to the community !

Have been following the game and enjoying it for some time now and mainly lurking in the forums but not getting involved personally.

So yeah hello from me and hope we will do some good discussions together.

Alright now on to business.

A suggestion in regards to the Donation option on the website and some questions.

Alright first of all when we donate for what exactly does the money go ? I mean I am perfectly ok to donate but have not seen a place where it says 10 dollars were spend on this, 50 on this 400 on this. Basically we donate but what happens no one knows. At least I do not know if I donate. Every man who gives money no matter for what expects some light on where hism oney go donation or not. I need to know where my money go if I donate.

Alright so my suggestion a page on the website that will follow how the money are spend and for what each month. I think that is a valid suggestion that everyone can agree upon.

Second of all a suggestion on how to improve the donation option. I know the game is free and done for free and no one expects people to donate.
But there is a simple thing that can be done in order for donations to be risen.

Main key in human psychology is : When you give you expect in return , when you receive something in return you are more keen to give back.

So : Why not leave the donation as it is but put some perks to it on the website. For example :

If you donate 10 bucks : You will get your name on a random document that can be found in the game for example being some Class - D that is mentioned in regards to something. Very easy to be done in game and will draw more people to donate as they receive back.

If you donate 50 bucks - Your name will be part of the credits as major sponsor and you will be mentioned as part of the SCP personel in the game in some document.
Again very easy to be included and done and will draw more people to donate.

Basically those are just suggestions , important thing is the idea i tcan be done in numerous ways.

Long story short when you give something to the people back for their money they are involved in the process and when someone is involved he tends to pay great attention to what is going on.

In that way the game is free for everybody as it should be and as Regalis have mentioned numerous times but , in the mean time the people that Donate feel involved and receive except the game something a little bit more for their donations.

Not to sound like an asshole but you donated because you wanted to, Regalis didn't force you so that doesn't mean he has to give you anything in return.

And is having a lot of documents in the game with usernames of forum users really necessary?

No offense taken at all.

But even if I donate because I want for cure of cancer they post on theit website where and for what the money go and is spent.

And being provided back with something in return for your donation because you want to help the project is something normal to be honest. And yes it will not be a problem having the whatever name you want being input in a documen in game for the real money you provide. It is a baragin and it is a win win situation for everybody.

As I said this is suggestion that will benefit Regalis and the game itself. But that's me.

I like the name of featuring names of people who collaborated as characters in documents, of course they should be actual names, to keep the suspension of disbelief that they could be legitimate people.

Exactly. It is something small , can be done easily and gets the people more involved and will suerly rise donations.
On top of that it will stimulate the creation of new and interesting fluff that will be put with all of those names in the documents.

In all cases benefit for all.

P.S - Not to forget that it can be build over the idea and depending on the amount of the donaton and collaboration as you said to receive additional recognision in one way or another.

The thing is, Regalis doesn't make the game to get money. He makes the game so that people can have an SCP game to play. So asking something in return for donations seems excessive. Not to mention that Regalis has already added the people that helped contribute to the game (their names are in the credits) and there was talk about adding references to the mods in the game.

The thing is, to get a reference of you into the game, you should do something that is more than just donating money (again, you are not supposed to get anything in return) such as actively collaborating to the game.

Imagine if that actually happened, after a while there would be too many names to add inconspicuously and it will end up being a mess of random names.

Again, donate to say thank you to Regalis, not to get your name in the game.

As I mentined it is an idea to get more attention and donation to the game. But seems I have misunderstood the Donations part.

Thank you for the explanation , I though the money go for the development of the game but it seems they go only for saying thank you to the creator and personal use and does not benefit the further creation of the game.

So yes I agree you are right, in that kind of setting donating money does not count as major thing. If they were used for hiring more programmers designers and ect then providing money to the project will be the most important thing. But seeing they are not used for that i rest my case and will not bother anymore.
