I'm still struggling with mine and I have been since 860 was placed in the game.

My error is quite similar. If you are in close and direct "sight" of the room "room860", then I crash to MAV. Regardless of settings (resolution, admin, bump, compad).

With your disable drawportal build that worked for OP, I could access room860 without MAV. Obviously I couldn't use it but it was nice to see some progress. I made a video replicating access to 860-1 in your build and then using the official 1.0.5 build to replicate the MAV.

Please excuse the blurriness. The seed I'm using is scp860, the room I teleported to was room3z3 right in front of room860 so I wouldn't crash as soon as I teleported.

Here is my device info:

2 Things.

1. Why in the Holy name of Bob Saget did you post a Bug Report inside a bug report? Make your own! XD

2. There is a thread for MAV's..... Maybe re-download the game? OR maybe you just got a bad seed. I suggest Re-downloading the game, since all your files seem to be thrown into the main folder.

I posted here because this bug seemed very similar to the issue I have. (bugs pertaining to direct LoS of 860-1) Also the disabled DrawPortal build worked for my application as well. So that has to mean something...

It's not a bad map seed, it's every seed. I only used that seed in my video to be consistent in my recording.

This is the the file structure of all the zips I've downloaded of scpcb. Does it look different to you?

So what do you think I should do? should I delete this post and just make a whole new thread? or just toss this into the MAV thread?

Uh.. YES. THAT FILE STRUCTURE FOR SCP-CB GAMES LOOK VERY DIFFERENT FROM WHAT I'VE GOTTEN. Seems like 20 things have been thrown into the main folder that shouldn't have. Ermm, I reccomend asking someware else for help.

Well now that the thread is officially derailed, what is your hashcheck on the zip you downloaded from this site? (as of 1.0.5)

Can you paste the same command I did for the zip please?

Code: Select all

C:\Users\REDACTED\Desktop>FCIV -md5 -sha1 "SCP - Containment Breach.zip"
//
// File Checksum Integrity Verifier version 2.05.
//
                MD5                             SHA-1

I did this for 3 sources; scpcbgame.com, softpedia.com, and moddb.com. All the same hash, all the same file structure.

If you don't have FCIV already, check out this MSKB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841290

If yours is different, link me to the download, I'd like to try it.

I don't know how to use the "Hash check", but I will post pictures of my Containment breach folder. I usually download it from the MEGA site Regalis usually puts down for download. It's better then this websites download, softpedia's, and IndieDB. I don't know what happened for your folder, or what computer you are using, but here is the default file structure. From a clean MEGA download. P.S: Sorry for the Imgur links, the "img" command doesn't work for me, so I can't use that. Plus, 1.0.6 is out. Try using that:

EDIT: Actualy, my file structure is exactly the same. BUT: the "B3D - RoomMesh Conversion.exe" should be in Map creator. Same with "LightmapPNG.exe". If it still doesn't work, then redownload/download 1.0.6 from MEGA.
