Just to say something about the new trailer, Half-Life 2 does not have "Seamless" level loading. It kicks you out of a map, and throws you in another one. And about the position of the seamless loading, I'd say make it after the breach happens. When the facility is plunged into darkness, and 173 goes in the vent is when I'd recommend it, and during elevator scenes and such. Maybe even past checkpoints.

I'll be honest, I was thinking the exact same thing, I will be changing that shortly! I only had it at that part because that was as far as I'd built at the time of making the loading thing!

Well, a active developer who's nice! Man, haven't seen those in a year....
It's not bad that it's shiny, just the fact that it seems a bit awkward. It looks good though.
I think you should just set a path-leading thing, where it takes them to the beginning of the chamber. Then he stops. As for the conversations between the two guards, maybe when it happens, they should turn their heads, or stop for a minute.
I think you should make the blink bar a little smaller. It seems pretty awkward being so big, and maybe longer with more "Boxes" in the slots.
