It removes a majority of the large files (notice how in Hug's screenshot every file is in KB), while leaving small ones in the event that you re-install it. If you're that spooked by it you can just delete the folder in Steamapps, although it's best if you un-install it from steam first before deleting the folder since the software might get confused as to whether or not the game's installed on your hard drive if you simply remove the folder.Hakkla wrote:Not removing nearly any content after being told to uninstall is rogue behaviour by my books and smells of malware. Most malware these days is spyware.
Again, it does this with all steam games. Unless Valve have maliciously planted spyware into every game they've ever put on the platform for the last decade without anyone noticing, I doubt it's spyware or malware.Hakkla wrote:I'm not saying GTAIV is spyware (who knows?...)
Fun fact: Steam does a lot of stuff that adware and spyware tend to do. The difference being that these are actually mentioned in their terms of use.also fun fact, Origin does not tell you thisHakkla wrote:but the behaviour is consistent with such.
