Re: 60 FPS?

Hi! Newbie here! I downloaded all versions of SCP and even tried anything the internet world suggests. I even tried running on XP SP3 Admin tried even different ones even changed refresh rate, still SCP shows only 2 FPS but it works fine with Windows 8.1 i get 48 FPS

I have two PCs, and i got:

Windows 8.1 48 FPS and higher (with tweaking options.ini)
Windows 7 2 FPS freeze forever

I did post a thing to help. I don't know if you tried it though. I organized it more here.

In Options.ini, you will see a few things that will lag the game. Antialiasing, Vsync, antistrophy and such. You can disable these.

To get better/Okay F.P.S, find these commands (said with >>. The Arrow's are not ACTUALLY there and do not add one to your options.ini!)

My Idea to fix it, would be to clear up some RAM (Random Access Memory) on your computer. SCP - Containment Breach runs like shit on Windows 7 anyway (From my own experience). It runs fine on a Windows 8, and 8.1 though.

before that, how big is your RAM anyway connor?

Thanks SyphenTV! But, I did everything and applied it to all versions of SCP - Containment Breach on Windows 7 but still, no success.

And you are right, it's smooth with my Windows 8.1 and applying you're advice to change <framelimit=60> to <framelimit=0> and made my game more faster-realisitic! I always get 58 - 60 FPS constantlyon Windows 8.1.

this seems weird to me, my old computer, athlon 3200+ 2.2 ghz, 1gb ram and geforce 7600gs had this game running 60 fps. but it lagged and the sound was crackling. lagging seemed to be because of my old slow hard drive and the sound crackling was probably because the game was laggy :)
