There's a whole bunch of stuff you will need to do to be able to post SCPs onto the official site.

First, you should read as many SCPs and SCP-Tales as possible to understand what people are looking for.

Next, when you think you are ready, read the member and application guidelines. To join the site, you need to write an application. It will be reviewed by the higher ups and either accepted or denied.

Finally, write an SCP. There are guides to help you do so, and it should give you an even better idea of what people are looking for and are interested in.

Note: A good way to know if your SCP is good, you should upload it to the sandbox site where you can post SCPs freely without consequence. You can then ask people to review it and give feedback.

i was thinking more about scp-008 how it still feels really unimportant yay you close it and get a hasmat suit.... alright then congrats i guess? i was thinking that at a random time after you've accessed at least heavy containment with a level 4 key card that randomly an alarm will go off signaling that there's a breach in the 008 containment room, it states its not airborne or waterborne however it does say If a breach has occurred, incineration and irradiation measures shall be deployed. why not make the incineration and irradiation measures self arming explosives that basically clean out the facility of all "organic" life.

like you'll have a timer that pops up until the incineration cleaning goes off. during this time mtf soldiers wouldn't appear as they've evacuated the facility until the cleaning is complete if you have a radio tuned to the guard channel or whatever you could here them telling all personal to back out until the cleaning is done etc etc.

the only way to stop the timer is to get into the scp-008 room, close the canister, access the control room and use the system override. (system override would be a keycard slot then pressing a button. 106 and 173 would be much more active during this sequence in order to keep the tension up. many of the doors would be locked down in order to contain the breach and give the player some help finding the room in case they haven't come across it yet.

SCP Nickname: "The actor"
Ingame mechanics: Its essentially the document, but only for its story. Throughout the game, the actor will be able to pose as either a guard, a class D, or an SCP, and on each encounter, he will test you to see if you are worthy of his "plays," and can see past his illusions of acting. For example.

-Player is in a dark hallway or other corridor. For a split second or two, he sees the actor posing as a class D running from him ahead. If the player pursues, there's a 3/5 chance he will lead the player into a hostile SCP. If the player survives/escapes, that will add to the Actors coded "counter" which I will explain soon.

-Player is in a dark hallway or other corridor. He comes across a guard aiming his weapon at him. If the player runs, the actor rushes towards him and brutally chops him to pieces with his knife. If he walks towards the guard, the guard will simply vanish into a hazy mist, and will add to the actor's counter.

-Player is in a dark hallway or other corridor. He comes across an SCP acting almost exactly how the actual SCP would act. (best used with any pursuing SCP's like shadowman.) If the player runs, the actor will continue to act like the actual SCP and attempt to kill the player. If the player walks towards the SCP, it will vanish into a hazy mist, and add to the actor's counter.

The counter: Encountering the actor is rare, but on each encounter the player survives, it will add one to the actors counter (counter, as in value in the AI.) If you survive 3-5 of his 'plays'/illusions, on the last one, which is usually a guard or SCP, when the Actor vanishes, it will drop its knife, which can be picked up and used as the only weapon in the game. The knife wont be able to affect certain SCP's like shadowman, but to the ones that can be, they will be stunned for about 6 seconds when hit. The swing time is slow, so you have to aim and time it correctly.

Artwork/Models (optional): The model is a variable. It switches on variables so not one encounter is the same.

In-Game Mechanics: Just like in the document, except it would effect you and the following enemies: SCP-096 (Will soon break out of it, not long after he is completely frozen), SCP-106 (Will break out because of his acidic fluids), and MTF's (Will trap them forever.)

Maybe, but as the mod has it, it's just like SCP-012. There, in a dead end, completely pointless. >3<

EDIT: Unless SCP-005 spawns in 409's room, which it has a chance of doing.
