I think I know what could be added to stop the player getting stuck in doors, you know how Doom doors always close but open if you are standing underneath of it when it touches the player? Basically this could work in the same way as in the door will open if it touches the player, but the player would have to be dead straight in the middle of the doorway for it to open.

I would consider this for NPCs too, namely 173 and the MTFs. This way, they both wouldn't be able to be clipped by a closing door due to the dastardly actions of the player. And similarly, I think the 2 NPCs that operate doors themselves should have a different method. From what I've seen, it appears the AI premaps a route, and opens the doors for the NPC to walk through. It should work just the same, with the addition of the NPCs automatically opening doors based on proximity to them. This way, you don't encounter 3 MTFs trying to walk into a closed door.

I think that either D-9341 needs some way to "fight" against the MTF or the MTF AI needs to be tweaked, I have just finished playing a map, I got to a section where the door I needed to go through was guarded by an MTF, there was no way at all that I could get passed him beacause of the little room I had and how fast he was to fire, I turned on godmode and even still I could not pass him because of how he was standing in the doorway (I had to noclip passed him), so even if I got a lucky break, I would not have been able to sprint passed him. It would be good if we could somehow lure the MTF, maybe with a new item, that way you could lure them and then stealth passed them.

Maybe the cigarette gained from using SCP-420-J in SCP-914 could produce smoke when used and MTF in range will go to investigate the smoke.

Just an idea, but could be pretty beneficial.

Well, the most similiar idea I had a few months back was for the player to be able to find Stun Grenades in an armory or on a dead body or something. However by that I mean like 'very sparse' (up to only 1 per 15-20 rooms?) [Maps now average around 50-70 rooms a seed I think = 2-5 per possible seed] they don't actually kill the MTF but will catch them off guard for about 10 seconds and have various reactions to different SCP's. only problem being weapons/distraction items give the player a lot of confidence..

Anyhow, I had a few idea's lately for the next/future updates:

-For the Intro, why is the containment cell to 173 wide open at the start already with only 2 Class-D's there? (Player should come in and stand next to the others; then after a very brief pause it opens to reveal 173).

-Can you make it so that after the Intro sequence the game auto-saves? I see a lot of people forgetting to save when they die (and having the only option to quit) and having to reload a new game which takes a loooong time.

-I like the idea of having a checkpoint save system like Amnesia TDD or something similiar; but to avoid the player getting saved in a deadly situation (173 perpetually behind him while MTF are in his face) there could be a save trigger when he completes an objective in a safe/resting place.. (First time meeting 914, Flipping a lever in the Electrical Room, Meeting 079, Opening Gate B, etc)

Saves are usually best where the player has a moment to rest/catch they're breath. Since Amnesia had all scripted events it had plenty of opportunity for this..

Yes, SCP-079 does close doors, but I was talking about the recent bug where when you open doors, it automatically switches back to the closed position.
