also as Juicy already stated, there will be no guns, and it seems like someone who claims to have had another user account would already be aware of this. As a fellow fictitious doctor I am disappointed in you.
I'd like to state a few things.

Firstly, I'd like you re-read what I posted. I get the feeling that you didn't fully read what I wrote. I am very aware that the FAQ states that no guns will be used in the game. In my suggestion, I stated that the guns would be "as useful as giving 173 a kiss." Or, in other terms, a loud squirt-gun. Useless. A false sense of security, with no actual effect on the player or the SCP creatures.

Secondly, I'm aware of what happens when you turn the secondary lights on. I stated in the suggestion a different approach, where all of the lights turn on, and filled the player with yet again, a false sense of security. Seeing the room fill with bright white lights, just to see them spark off, returning to their dark, gloomy state.

As much as I'd like to think that all writing is for interpretation, I'd like you to read what is written AS it is written. I'm not trying to suggest turning the game into an FPS, and I'm not trying to suggest anything already in the game. Just some fun little extras that could possibly add on the game's creepy factor. Thank you.

I do apologize if I seemed upset or abrasive in my comments, Storytime, I have no excuse besides, goings on outside my computer. Although I very much disagree with guns being player held or used in any way shape or form outside of a cinematic or something similar, brief and not requiring the use of inventory space over a large period of time. And I did say that the light flickering thing was already occurring in a different sense, so implementing another switch toggle for the sake of toggling seems a bit useless but I could easily be outvoted by the community in favor of this cinematic. Upon reading your post I had the overwhelming sense of noobery afoot due to the fact that the horror you spoke of from the lights turning off is already experienced within the first few minutes of gameplay, so a second occurrence would be more frustrating then anything, and went into a semi-rage mode. It seems that my most common prose while writing is one of sarcasm and harshness and in lieu of once again offending you I will attempt to rectify this. I meant no disrespect and would like to state that the expressed are my opinions, where as you like your writing to be seen as is, mine is opinionated and should be taken with a grain of salt. I hope that this will dispel any vehemence you may have felt from my comments or that you currently have for me. Also the fictitious doctor statement sounded funny at the time but looking back it does sound rather hateful.

Also I would very much appreciate a kiss from 173 as that concrete monstrosity has yet to return my calls, even after his constant butt ramming, because I am not some cheap whore that he can just have his way with :(

Oh, no no no. I hold no contempt for you, sir. I would just like to rectify what I was saying for you. I hold no grudges, and I know you meant well. But, I had another suggestion for a more realistic opening to the game as well, if you read back a page or two. Just saying. Happy trails~

I mean, it would be really weird and probably pretty hard to code, but it was a really interesting SCP and would work well with the eye mechanic. I'm going to go re-read it and make sure it wouldn't be too much like 096, though.

EDIT: The good news is, it's not too much like 096. In fact, it's almost the opposite. However, you'd have to be able to destroy it, it takes 24 hours to grow, and it doesn't ever directly kill anything. But, I still support it: walking through a containment chamber full of 86 eyeballs on stalks would be creepy as shit.

I wish it was just one eye ball. But to be canon, the article must be followed :/. Would you have to make every single one or just make one and copy it?
Is 173 living? Would all of them look at the player and not 173 cuz they prefer human staring. I bet that would would not keep you safe from 173.

Yes all of the eye balls looking at you should be creepy. Idk a way that the player could destroy it Exp picking it up and taking it to 914. all i got

Damn that would be creepy as hell :shock: and i think it would effectively stop 173 as long as the are looking in his general direction because he can't move within line of site, so they would act like a non focused eye pod http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-131
I don't imagine coding would be too difficult except that they would follow you short distances, but I have no clue. Technically 173 is "alive" and what if you could use their containment to contain 173!! :D and im sure with enough compulsion you could destroy them by hand then you would have permanent eyes that would make you immune to 173, and that might ruin things but it does take a full day. maybe it would be like 372's containment with them locked in a glass chamber constantly staring out

Walk to the corner of the room with 173 following you, and all of the eyes are looking at you in the corner, your eyes still on 173. At this point 173 is in the container and you walk out the way you and 173 came in and when you peace out, there sight will go to 173. EASY. but is should be only temporary so its not game breaking.

You mean MTF putting a box on him and containing him? Yea that was talked about. 718 can be another good way of doing it as well.
Anyway, the effect of 718 (after 30 second maybe)on the player making her want to kill one of the eyes and it would exploded and after maybe 2 minutes ( you are walking around) and you still have to blink but the eye that is coming from your chest (so you can see it) does not. So guess getting 718 attached to you would be a good thing. idk, your input?
